Men's Singles:

Jonathan Dolan vs David Walsh (5/8)

Adam McAllister (5/8) vs Joshua Magee (2)

After the withdrawal of number one seed Nhat Ngyuen due to sickness and Jack O’Brien retiring in his second round fixture due to injury, the Men’s singles competition was blown wide open. Johnathan Dolan has played extremely well to this point of the competition. After beating Mark Brady (5/8) in the Quarter-Final, Dolan will play against doubles partner Walsh in what will be an exciting encounter. On the other side of the draw number two seed Joshua Magee has overcome his opponents with relative ease, his toughest test will come in the Semi-Final when he plays against Adam McAllister, who himself has not lost a game.

Women's Singles:

Kate Frost (1) vs Sara Boyle

Rachael Woods vs Rachael Darragh (2)

The Women’s singles competition will produce two very interesting Semi-Finals. All four players won their matches in straight games, which makes it very difficult to see who will bring that momentum into the next round. Rachael Darragh will look to retain her Nationals title as she plays against Alpha's Rachael Woods in the Women's Singles Semi-Final whilst number one seed Kate Frost will play against Sara Boyle.

Men's Doubles:

Joshua Magee/Paul Reynolds (1) vs Jonathan Dolan/David Walsh

Daniel Magee/Adam McAllister (3/4) vs Mark Brady/Ciaran Chambers (2)

The 2018 National winners Joshua Magee & Paul Reynolds received an easier than expected passage to the Semi-Final. After receiving a first round bye, the pairing then got a Walkover into the Quarter-Finals where they played against Tony Murphy/Ryan Stewart. The number one seeds will need to beat tough opposition in the Semi-Final in Dolan/Walsh if they want to repeat their national victory that they achieved the previous year. The second Semi-Final will see two strong pairings face off in what should be an extremely close encounter. Both teams will look to book their place in the final and claim their first national title in their current pairings.

Women's Doubles:

Rachael Woods/Rebecca Woods (1) vs Sara Boyle/Rachael Darragh

Orla Flynn/Vicki Pesti (2) vs Sophia Noble/Pamela Pontanosa

Number one seeds Rachael Woods and Rebecca Woods will come up against the strong international pairing of Sara Boyle/Rachael Darragh in the first Semi-Finals. The Woods sisters lost out in the 2018 Women’s Doubles National final and in 2019 they look to go one place better to claim their first National title. The second Semi-Final will see the young pairing of Sophia Noble/Pamela Pontaosa face off in their first senior National Semi-Final against Orla Flynn/Vicki Pesti. This should be an interesting match as both pairings will be familiar with each other’s game.

Mixed Doubles:

Sam Magee/Chloe Magee (1) vs Daniel Magee/Kate Frost (3/4)

Paul Reynolds/Rachael Darragh (2) vs

Number one seeds Sam & Chloe Magee made good progress on their mission to regain the Mixed Nationals Title. The 2020 Olympic hopefuls will need to see off the competition from their brother Daniel Magee & Kate Frost. The second Semi-Final will see Paul Reynolds/Rachael Darragh face off against last year’s National Mixed winner Ciaran Chambers and his new partner Sophia Noble. The new pairing beat Mark Topping/Vicki Pesti (3/4) 21-13,15-21,21-16 in an exciting Quarter Final Matchup.

Siofra Flynn (1) vs Lucy Xu (3/4)

Michelle Shochan (5/8) vs Neasa Flynn (2)

Lucy Xu came through an extremely tight Quarter-Final match against Roisin McKenna. Xu managed to overcome Mckenna in the third game 17-21, 21-13,21-19. They will come up against Hassett/McKenna who themselves won a tight two game match 21-15,22-20 against Joy/Pender. Matthew Cheung/Chloe Woods (1) vs Richard Kong/Lucy Xu (3/4)

Sean Wynne/Chloe Koay vs Robbie Frost/Siofra Flynn (2)

After finishing second in the FZ Forza U15 Irish Open, the pair will be looking to claim the U15 Nationals title to go along with the international silver medal. The second Semi-Final will see the unseeded pairing of Sean Wynne/ Chloe Koay come up against number two seeds Robbie Frost/Siofra Flynn in what should be a fast paced Semi-Final.  Frost/Flynn won their Quarter-Final 26-24,18-21, 21-17.
