Leinster Badminton
The Leinster Branch of Badminton Ireland exists to promote and develop badminton throughout the province.
In addition to liaising with the county associations (Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wexford and Wicklow) to assist in the development of the game, the branch schedules many events in the sporting calendar throughout the year, including graded opens, the Dublin and District league as well as the Leinster Mens Singles, Ladies Doubles & Mixed Doubles Ladders.
Leinster Branch operate and manage two Badminton facilities in Dublin, in essence the hubs for Badminton activity in the Province; Terenure Badminton Centre in Whitehall Road (Dublin 12) & Baldoyle Badminton Centre on the Grange Road in Baldoyle (Dublin 13). Many clubs are based out of the Whitehall Road and Baldoyle badminton centres, with a vast array of juvenile clubs contributing to a strong juvenile section in the province.
Leinster branch, in conjunction with Badminton Ireland aims to further develop the sport in the region, with the last couple of years seeing the development of the Hi Performance Centre in the Marino Institute of Education, the hosting of the Annual Coaching Conference in Dublin and the development of the Badminton Ireland Academy.
