Sam and Chloe Magee finished their European Championships today in Kyiv. The pair enjoyed a good run of form at the event winning their opening rounds against opposition from the Netherlands and Scotland. In the quarterfinal today the Irish lost out to the number one seeded pairing Marcus Ellis and Lauren Smith of England.

"Sam and Chloe performed very well over the week here in Ukraine to reach another European championship quarterfinal. Today they were beaten by the better pair in the number one seeds Marcus Ellis and Lauren Smith. The English played the conditions very well and it really suited their game plan today. We will look to build on the results achieved at this championships as we return to training" Hp director Daniel Magee

Next on the calendar there is Malaysia Open and Singapore open where the final Olympic qualification points can be earned. Nhat Nguyen's last 16 finish here this week will put him one step closer to his dream of a first Olympics and Chloe and Sam also earned vital points towards catching those ahead of them on the race to Tokyo list.
