Badminton Ireland Welcomes Announcement of €369k in Funding to Support Irish Badminton through Co-Vid 19

Badminton Ireland are delighted to confirm that following an announcement from the Government and Sport Ireland on Monday, we have received funding under ‘Scheme Two’ and ‘Scheme Three’ of the Co-Vid 19 Fund which has been implemented for NGB’s, LSP’s and Clubs to address related losses from the Co-Vid 19 pandemic. We are extremely grateful to avail of this funding, which will greatly benefit our sport as we proceed forward through these challenging times.

Scheme Two: National Governing Body Resilience Fund

Scheme Three: Club Resilience Fund

Furthermore, now that Badminton Ireland have received funding under Scheme Three, we will be launching a Club Grant Scheme Application Process for all clubs based in the Republic of Ireland in the coming weeks. This grant opportunity will present itself in a timely manner to our affiliated bodies as they navigate the challenges and difficulties which they have faced early in the 2020/2021 season.
