The working group will be involved in the planning and implication of specific areas of an event. The working group are not expected to be at the event for the full duration as Badminton Ireland wants the students to be able to balance their academics with the event.

- Students with an interest in Badminton or Sporting Events is desirable
- Previous volunteer or hobby experience in roles is desirable
Event Journalist & Player Interviewer
The person conducting this role would write up articles for the event that would be published on the Badminton Ireland website & sent to news media outlets. This person would work with the Badminton Ireland Events Manager in trying to expand the publicity of the event in the eyes of the general public. This person would also organise and run the mixed zone at the international events and would conduct player interviews which would be published on Badminton Ireland YouTube & Social Media. They will work closely with current volunteers.
Social Media & Video content creator
The purpose of this role is to help promote the international events in the lead up, during and after the event. This person would help create videos to promote the event using the footage available to them and being responsible for collecting new video footage. This person would work with the Badminton Ireland Events Manager & Aspire Graduate in creating and managing a social media plan. This person would work with the Badminton Ireland Aspire Graduate in creating social media content that would be spread across all of Badminton Ireland’s social media platforms.
The volunteer assistant would work closely with the Badminton Ireland Volunteer Manager to help promote volunteering in 3rd level education. This role will include following a plan of sourcing and training any potential volunteers to help with these events. This person will be responsible for maintaining a good volunteer environment during the event and helping to manage volunteers in their roles.
This role will require someone who has a keen interest in event management. This person will be responsible for working closely with the Events Logistics Manager & Events Manager prior to the event. This will include understanding the events plan and using this to maintain the standard of the hall. They will maintain a high-quality standard of event for the players and will work closely with the Events Logistic Manager to ensure courts are ready for play.
The working group will be chaired by the Badminton Ireland Events Manager, all roles are volunary however any expenses will be covered.
