Performance Analysis Coach/Player Forum

Badminton Ireland are delighted to announce the launch of our first Performance Analysis Forum. The purpose of this forum is to provide game like scenarios for coaches/players to observe and encourage independent learning.

Performance analysis is a tool that is growing rapidly in the world of sport. In the past 5 years there have been many advancements in technology to enable performance analysts within sport to assess their team or individuals’ performances. Performance analysis not only will allow an individual or team to assess their own performance, it can also enhance the coaching process by providing video and statistical information.

This forum will be used to test the minds of our badminton players and coaches. Badminton Ireland will be posting clips from different tournaments of some of the top badminton players in the world and aiming to get a discussion going about the clips. The aim of performance analysis is to be able to look back on a previous performance and analyse it in a completely different way to live badminton.

Throughout the forum, clubs and players will be provided with examples of performance analysis software that they can acquire in order to properly analyse their performances.

For this forum, we will be posting videos and some information on the benefits of performance analysis every second week to a private YouTube channel.

This forum is only available to members of Badminton Ireland.

Sign up deadline is Friday the 21st of February.
