Positive results at the German Junior 2017

There were some some positive results for Nhat Nguyen and Paul Reynolds as they took part in the Yonex German Junior on the weekend. Nhat was the number 6 seed in the men's singles which had draw of 128. Nhat beat Felix Hammes of Germany comfortably in his opening match 21-6 21-10. In the third round Nhat came up against a more experienced Chen Shiau Cheng of Chinese Taipei. Nhat lost the first game 21-14 but fought back to take the second game 21-17. The experience of the up and coming Chinese Taipei player shone through as he clinched the match 21-17 in the third game.
In the men's doubles Nhat and Paul had a good opening win against the German pair of Kirchgessner/Kick 21-9 21-4. Their quarter final match was somewhat tougher as they came up against the Japanese pair Obayashi/Minegishi. They lost out to them in three games 15-21 21-11 21-15. These player will now be preparing for the upcoming U19 European Championships from the 7th-16th April in France.
